Mini Pocket Bikes - Maintaining Your Big InvestmentMini pocket bikes may seem like they're just little toys, but in reality, these mini motorbikes are fine-tuned machines. And just like your favorite piece of lawn equipment, your riding mower, or your automobile for that matter, mini pocketbikes need regular maintenance to keep them running at peak performance levels. Pocket motorcycle performance adviceFirst, be sure to regularly take care of your mini motorbike's chain. You should grease your mini motorcycle's chain before every ride, if you're enjoying a long day of riding on your pocket bike, ten after every 10 minutes of continual use. Grease the inside of your bike's chain, not the outside. And use old-fashioned oil, not chain wax or chain grease. After a long day of bike riding, clean the chain with WD-40 or a similar solvent before putting on the grease. When it comes to lubing the inside of your bike's engine, use a batch of two-stroke oil if you have a gas-powered pocket motorcycle. Mix and add it per the instructions in the mini motorbike's user manual. For battery powered mini motorcycles, always charge the engine fully before use following that bike's user instructions. It's also important to regularly inspect your mini motorcycle, inspecting all of the hardware to make sure that it's tight and in good shape. Always check out each of your bike's components, including the nuts, bolts, and screws. Survey your mini pocket bike's engine, axel, and muffler, too, to make sure they look in tiptop shape.
