| Honda Minimoto - Pocket Bikes With A Pedigree |
Honda Minimoto - Pocket Bikes With A PedigreeHonda has long been famous for its full-sized motorcycles, sport utility vehicles, and automobiles. Honda has a reputation for the highest quality, craftsmanship, and performance. And now, Honda has used this knowledge and skill to create a line of mini motorcycles. The Honda minimoto model NSR50R, which Honda made available in the spring of 2004, is the motorcycle company's addition to the world of miniature motorbikes. Motorbike History In MakingThe NSR50R Honda mini moto is an HRC racing dynamo. It is a limited edition pocketbike that rivals Honda's other mini motorcycle, the Dream 50R. The former minimoto has a performance geared 50 cc two-stroke engine. This Honda is meant for one purpose: to tear up the mini motorcycle racetrack. This makes the miniature motorbike an excellent training tool for world-class racers in the making. The NSR50R minimoto possesses this ability thanks to Honda's long experience in the business. Honda's ability to craft fine pieces of machinery dates all the way back to 1948. That's when 41 year old Soichiro Honda started the Honda Motor Company with $3200 in his pocket. By 1949, Honda had put out his first motorcycle, the D-Type Dream. The company founder made sure to have his hand in the design and manufacture of this two-stroke motorbike. By 1959, Honda's motorcycle business was strong enough to take on the big boys in the Unites States. Honda shipped over its first C100 Super Cub to the States then. This bike eventually helped make Honda history as the world's best-selling vehicle, with 30 million sold to date.
